Trip to Barcelona — ICASSP 2026
In May 2026, I attended ICASSP 2026 in Barcelona. It was an incredible journey of learning, networking, and exploration.
The Journey: Hong Kong → Helsinki → Barcelona
My flight route took me from Hong Kong to Helsinki, and then onward to Barcelona. The layover in Helsinki gave me a brief but memorable taste of Nordic beauty.

At the Conference
ICASSP 2026 brought together researchers from all over the world. I presented our work, which was well received by the audience.

Conference venue
I attended many inspiring talks on signal processing, medical imaging, and deep learning. The discussions and exchanges with fellow researchers broadened my perspective and sparked new ideas for future work.
Exploring Barcelona
Beyond the conference, Barcelona was a delight. From the breathtaking Sagrada Familia to the lively La Rambla, the city’s unique blend of modernist architecture and Mediterranean charm left a lasting impression. The warm weather, delicious tapas, and friendly locals made every moment enjoyable.
A Glimpse of Helsinki
Even though I only spent a short time in Helsinki during the layover, the city’s clean design, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful waterfront were truly refreshing. I hope to visit again someday for a longer stay.
This trip was not just about presenting a paper — it was about growing as a researcher, building connections, and experiencing the beauty of different cultures. I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to more adventures ahead!
